Find Out What Your Clients Really Think Of You!
The ethnic hair and beauty sector is intensely competitive and your clients use a variety of methods to distinguish you from the next salon on the High Street. Regardless of how much you spend on your salon interior, fabulous signage and stunning new outfits for your stylists, it’s the overall client experience that keeps your salon’s number on the speed dial of your favourite client’s Blackberry. As a business owner you’re unlikely to see moody stylists late for appointments, eye-rolling receptionists grudgingly putting their mobile hen-parties on hold when, heaven forbid, somebody walks in from the street, or the juniors sitting around reading magazines when they should be tidying the salon and offering your clients refreshments. For some inexplicable reason, these things don’t happen when you’re in the salon. Or perhaps you simply don’t notice when they do.
How Can You See What Your Clients See?
Mystery Shopping is a tried and tested tool widely used by the big players in the retail industry to gauge their performance in a number of areas including their external and interior appearance, visual merchandising, marketing and most importantly, customer service. Mystery Shopping can play a vital role in allowing salon owners and managers the opportunity to find out how your clients view your operation with a confidential and objective evaluation of the level of service your clients receive.
Upskill Your Staff With Free Training
To make this valuable resource available to ethnic hair and beauty businesses Salon Strategies has joined the Pan London Retail Consortium, which is delivering retail management and skills training across London. The partnership is managed by London College of Communication, College of North West London and Kingston College, and through this project we will be able to complete a mystery shopping exercise for 200 salons. The information we gather through the Mystery Shop will subsequently enable our SFEDI accredited business advisers to help you examine your business in depth, and identify any areas that need improvement. Our business advisers will also help you to identify staff training needs and refer you to the variety of courses and workshops that Salon Strategies and our partners will be running over the next year. The training programmes are designed to enhance your salon’s ability to retain current customers, attract new ones, and develop the product range and knowledge that’s key to developing a strong client relationship.
Our Mystery Shoppers are out visiting salons right now. If you want your salon to be involved in the Salon Strategies Mystery Shopping Programme, call us on 0800 458 6416 and make that first step in taking your business to the next level.
* Mystery Shops are FREE of charge. Information is confidential to the business owner and visits are carried out by anonymous experts.
